1250 haupp device not found

I have a 1250 that will work in wintv7 on XP but npvr lists it in the device settings but when I try live tv it gives unable to find device.
I've done a reinstall of npvr after getting the drivers and wintv7 to work with the card.

I think you might need to edit the AnalogDevices.xml and edit the "Hauppauge WinTV 885 Video Capture" device to set it to "SOFT_ENCODE" instead of HARD_ENCODE. This setting was aimed at more common cards like the HVR-1800 etc, which have hardware encoders. I think the 1250 is a cheaper version that uses the same chipset, but without the hardware encoder.
