'closed captions' is supposed to only appear for USA and Canada, but I temporarily forced it to think it was USA for some testing, but forgot to remove it. For the next build it'll be back to only appearing for USA and Canada.
You'r right, as always Big Grin, I rushed to conclutions on this. But in the like perry supplied it says that dvb-subtitles depends on the cable provider.

@perry, do you receive the signals by cable or antenna?

Signal is cable.

In the stream is a peice of data called the 'teletext descriptor' which describes what teletext services are available. This usually says something like:

'start page' is 100
'nor' subtitles 390
'swe' subtitles 391

In your example stream, you've only got:

'start page' is 100

...so it doesnt think any subtitles are available.
TerraTec Home Cinema software are able to do that way you describe it

This is what TSDoctor says about the short sample, apparently there is a teletext stream.

Yes, there is definitely a teletext stream, and NextPVR is finding it just fine. The problem is that this broadcaster isnt using the standard DVB mechanism to describe what pages are available that provide teletext subtitles. Instead they only list the Teletex start page.

You can see this single entry in that TSDoctor log. Instead it should also list the pages which provide subtitles.

I can see your teletext subtitle pages to work using the attached patch. You also need to have this new TeletextExtras.xml file in your c:\users\public\nextpvr directory. You can add additional page numbers for other channels that dont properly advertise the subtitle page numbers.

Code:
<Teletext>
   <Force tsid="1" sid="1110" lang="dan" page="398"/>
</Teletext>

I noticed that too.

Good, I'll test it on a couple of channels that supposedly had teletext subtitles but never showed up in NextPVR, maybe that is the same case. Smile

Great. This is really just a problem of your broadcaster's making. They're not broadcasting the standard DVB descriptors used for identifying the subtitle pages. Its possible they included this info in some old proprietary scheme supported by some software, but they're not doing it the standard way.
