PlayVideo() metadata

I cannot duplicate it without the YouTube plugin. I even tried adding similar code for http streaming from another plugin. I was thinking that whurlston might be calling SetMetaData, but he wouldn't know what the non-YouTube hashtable would have in it.

The odd thing is that metadata is not cached. ie, if you call PlayVideo(), it creates an entirely new instance of the player class, containing it's own metadata etc.

It's not some sort of frame buffer thing is it? The graphics image used to paint the OSD still holding a previous paint or something like that?

That was a possibility that crossed my mind too, but looking at the code it didnt look possible, since it always askes for the render list and updates the graphic before setting the OSD.

I don't use SetMetadata. Whenever the YouTube plugin plays a file, it calls PlayVideoFile(file, metadata). When called from another plugin (like SearchLite) my code doesn't do anything except parse the available streams for the video and send it back. In fact, you don't even need to pass the metadata to the YouTube plugin. You can just send the "@url" in the hashtable to the youtube plugin without any other entries and you will get back "@url", "@videoId" (parsed from the url) and "@streamUrl".

Does the problem happen when you play directly from my plugin, from SearchLite, or both?

Both, but for most of the testing this afternoon I did it with just your plugin directly.

I can't reproduce it here using the 100percent build which is the latest code.

I'm certain this can happen without the YouTube plugin, as I have had this occur occasionally for months and only recently installed the YouTube plugin. However I can't make it happen at will. I tried several times before to come up with a reproduceable sequence to make it happen, and was not able to. I don't think I've seen it happen any time recently though.
