The problem with failed regsvr32 is an easy one: you have a typo. the monogram aac decoder is "mmaacd.ax" and not "mmaace.ax", that's all.
The LAV "Splitter" isn't a decoder and thus not selectable as decoder. This is ok and alright and shouldn't worry you at this point. The task of the splitter is to split up any container like .mkv, .avi, .wtv (just those you have selected). It doesn't decode anything. For this we are using ffdshow or monogram aac decoder.
Please be patient, so i can write a small installation guide.
Btw., under Win 7 it is NOT enough to install the splitter or decoder. You have to tweak the merit of directshow filters with a tool like Win7DSFilterTweak too, since windows 7 introduced (again) a new system called "windows media foundation" whose codecs will be choosed everytime as primary ones by directshow und normal circumstances.
