capone,
I think I fixed the bug, if you see it again let me know.

Glad you guys enjoy it. If you think of other suggestions let me know. Otherwise I will continue to play with my security cam plugin.

Hello Jorm

The delete and clear functions in v .30b do not seem to be working for me. Please note that it may be that Guide2J is not playing nice with xRecord

If I use the delete button, Guide2J still shows the program highlighted. I have manually run the postupdateepg.bat and it makes no difference.

If I use the clear button, Guide2J no longer shows the shows highlighted, but at the top of the column, it shows that a show is to be recorded in that time slot. However, when I page down through the guide, no show is highlighted. Unfortunately, the guide will not allow me to add a new show. When I try, I get "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

Both the clear button and the delete buttom remove the items from the Scheduler list.

i wonder if guide2j is caching. If you close gbpvr and reopen it does it clear?

It does not matter. I also tried stopping & restarting the service. I have noticed that the highlight on the shows are gone (clear & delete) but the highlight on the top of the column is still there not letting me record anything in the space. I will try to set up a show, delete it and see if it actually records or whether Guide2J just blocks the space.

I tested the delete function. I think there is more than a Guide2J issue. After I had deleted an entry in the Scheduler, I exited GBPVR and ran PostUpdateEPG.bat. Part of my PostUpdateEPG.bat is Recstatus. I noticed that even though the program was removed from the Scheduler, it still showed up in the Recstatus printout. I tried restarting the service without any difference. The program still recorded.

I then tested the clear function. It removed the item immediately from Scheduler. I also checked Guide2J and the program was not highlighted (which was a difference from the delete function). I then ran PostUpdateEPG.bat and the program did not show up in the printout from the Recstatus. (another difference from the delete function). However, going back into GBPVR and Guide2J, it still shows the time slot as having a program that will be recorded (even though no program is highlighted). The program did not record! So I believe this problem has to do with the way Guide2J releases a time slot. I say this because I can use the TV Guide plug-in and it will allow me to record a different program in the same timeslot that Guide2J would not allow.

Hi Jorm,

Thanks for the great plugin, I use it all the time. I've done a bit of a test of various buttons in different screens and here are my findings. Please take these as constructive, as I said I use it all the time.........

1. On the Videos list of programs.
- Pressing Blue gives an "Error: input string was not in a correct format"
- Yellow cycles Title, Channel etc. but doesn't make a difference to the listing
2. On the Ready list of programs. When archiving a program, if it's the only program then the screen should be refreshed to remove it from the list of ready programs.
3. When re-entering XRecord from main menu the last times menu is highlighted but the ready list is always shown. This is confusing.
4. Movies menu, if empty, displays "You have no videos". Since there is a videos menu item this is confusing. Suggest "you have no movies"
5. Conflicts - should list both (all) shows in conflict. Give user choice to delete the offending shows or exit. If only one show set to record then remove conflict.
6. Where does "watched" get its information from.
7. Watched menu, Green button is active but doesn't seem to do anything
8. What does "set mix" do?
9. What exactly does "play all" do - does it just cycle through the list of programs
10. "play all" crashes GBPVR. I selected it and kept pressing Enter/OK. Eventually I was thrown out to main menu with "Error: Index out of range. Must be non negative........ Parameter name: index". This kills GBPVR i.e. quit and restart program

Hope these make sense, if not then i'll be happy to provide more info.

I like feedback like this thank you.

I will play with these this week. as for your questions

6) rectracker.mdb every time rectracker runs it adds the show to the database this allows you to see it and clear shows.

7) I havent added sorting yet.

8) It sets the mixed mode file for the show. Showing 3 items per page with descriptions.

9) play all should create a video playlist of all of the shows in the list from the selected show down.

10) If you get a chance to reproduce this can you provide the stack trace from the log.

Hopefully my answers make sense. If you are still confused let me know and I will clarify. The other items I will see what i can do this week.

Hello Jorm,

I am not sure if you read this other Thread:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=6694

But they have a good idea, having xRecord show the Conflicts and how they were resolved.

I particularly would like it show if two shows are in conflict with priority and which show won out in the prioity and which show(s) lost.

Hi again

1) to be clearer, Yellow cycles the text but doesn't alter the listing
6) makes sense now - must have been tired last night
8) I wondered how it did that!
9) so I should only press it once anyway, not multiple times as in 10) below.
10) I've done a bit more testing. After pressing it 2 or 3 times I get put back to the main menu with the error. It doesn't crash GBPVR. After selecting "OK" on the error dialog box, keyboard and remote control input stops working. Mouse input keeps working. I can select XRecord with the mouse and navigate aroung OK. Restarting the IR program doesn't fix it. Nothing unusual appears in the log files (I have logging level set to debug). I have to quit GBPVR and restart it, then it's back to normal.

Again, hope this helps, anything further then let me know

I used to be involved in software testing for embedded systems many years ago, after less than a year of doing it I got out, so boring!

Richard,

I am willing to make the changes to xrecord. So instead of just seeing a single list in the conflict list you would see two. I would have an identifier either a highlight or something that indicates which of the two is in conflict. You will be able to pick delete or exit, or find more on a given show.
