No digital encrypted tv. Did I delete a decoder???

If you change the capture device's setup to not use any CI/CAM, are you able to record an encrypted show? Ie, is the file growing while recording encrypted?

I reviewed you logs, and I can see that Acamd gets the DCW's from NewCS but it does not seem that Acamd is able to decrypt with those DCW's. Do you have a STB that you can hook up and insert your smartcard to verify that it is delivering valid decryption keys? Maybe the smartcard needs an update (in the receiver box)?

Yes, the file is growing but I get a black video. Also, I cannot play it back (in NPVR: recording cancelled early, in WMP: nothings happens), length of the video: 0s.

That would be normal since it is encrypted. What about the STB?

Yesterday evening I asked my neighbour, he's a mediaportal fan, and I hooked up his computer over here with my smartcard and smargo and that worked with encrypted channels. I don't like mediaportal, but the card seems okay.

I see. You could ofcourse check the port settings for your cardreader, even try another if you have, but it seems unlikely... Can you try watching an encrypted channel and post all the logs (including Acamd and NewCS)? Maybe there is something we have overlooked?

Here it is. And thanks for sticking with me so far.

I think that when everything worked normal, it was on 2.2.6. I think the older ghost image has that version. It's a lot of work putting the software on I installed since then, so I would prefer not to have to go back to that.

I put the smargo in another port, removed and reinserted the card again....same.
Maybe I should delete the "TechniSat Mantis DVBC BDA Receiver #1-1" folder in MDPlugins and try again?
