Did you find a solution?

The kids have holidays, so I don't have enough time to put back the old image and in the evening there's no WAF for these things.
I need a couple of hours in case something goes wrong. That would be end of next week. I'll let you know. Thanks again.
I was thinking, maybe I could try an uninstall and reinstall. But I need to be sure everything is uninstalled. What would be the way to do it?
Windows add/remove, then delete the folders c:\program files (x86)\NPVR and C:\Users\Public\NPVR? No registry-keys to be deleted?

That might be worth a try. You'll probably be installing in the same locations and if so there should be no need to delete the registry keys. If you want to delete them anyway you'll find the keys in HKEY\LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NPVR. Good luck!

I uninstalled NPVR via windows uninstall. Renamed the 2 folders.
Did not delete the registry keys. Installed 2.2.6.
Put in the MDPlugins folder the backup (I made before) from the "TechniSat Mantis DVBC BDA Receiver #1-1" folder.

Got no picture on non-encrypted channel, maybe because the ini-file was the wrong file (I changed the ini-file myself after the release of 2.2.6). But on encrypted channels: video and sound normal, no problem!

Then installed 2.5.5, problem there again!
So it looks like a NPVR problem. I think Sub should take a look.

Do you have logs from 2.2.6 that can be compared to 2.5.5?

No, forgot about that. And what is worse, I tried to put the smargo back in the old slot, changed the com-port (manually, problably wrong to do), EDIT: and because the smargo didn't seem to work tried to update the driver, and now whenever I change to encrpyted channels, I get a windows BSOD, referring to ks.sys . I'm checking that out at the moment.

I've got the BSOD issue solved.
Now back to problem in this thread. I don't prefer going back and forth with settings and programs and images too much, so maybe Sub can take a look and say what he needs me to do?

Isn't it possible to just switch NextPVR.exe-files to switch between versions? EDIT: no.

If I would go back to 2.2.6, which logs exactly would be needed (which files and from which events)? Which files should I back up (instead of copying the while directories)?

The most important files is npvr.db3 and config.xml. The logs from Nrecord and NDigitalHost along with Acamd and possibly NewCS would be interesting to compare. I'm surprised Sub has not responded, perhaps send him a PM?
