I've got some channels on digital AND analogue tv-card, which I merged for example "Nederland 1" (the digital one is unencrypted). Device priority for live is digital card first.

When I start NPVR and select "Nederland 1", the analogue card shows the channel. Is this supposed to be like this? Why not the digital card?

Do you have 'use reverse priority for live tv' ticked? This causes it to work it's way up the capture source list looking for channels in live tv.

No, I haven't got that box ticked and the digital card is on top, so I thought it should first show the digital channel.
But I tried and it seems to work the other way round. I'm missing the logic, but it seems to work like that.

If you want to zip and attach your npvr.db3, I can probably try it here and tell you why. (though I'm just heading out for a few hours now)

I attached the db3 and the config-file. Don't hurry, I'll be in bed soon and tomorrow I have the kids the whole day. Thanks in advance.

I was curious, so I violated my own .zip only archive rule...

all looks fine in your database, but your config.xml says:
Code:
<ReversePriorityForLiveTV>true</ReversePriorityForLiveTV>
server: NextPVR 5.0.7/Win10 2004/64-bit/AMD A6-7400k/hvr-2250 & hvr-1250/Winegard Flatwave antenna/Schedules Direct

I didn't have the box ticked in the beginning. But like I wrote in post 3, I tried it and then the digital card is selected first. That's the setting you see in the config-file.

So, when I've got the digital card on top and reverse not ticked: the analogue card is selected first.
When I've got the digital card on top and reverse ticked: the digital card is selected first. It works like I want it to, I didn't know until I tried. I haven't tried that before, because I think it's not logical. The card on top should be selected first without the reverse box ticked (I think).

After changing that setting, you need to exit NextPVR and restart the recording service for it to take effect. I suspect you're just getting out of sync between what you have set and what setting NRecord is actually using, so you keep seeing the opposite effect. The feature works as it should.

You were close. After testing it turns out that ticking the reverse box does NOT, but changing which card is on top DOES need stopping and restarting the recording service.
I think it is more idiot-proof (and the idiot is me in this case), if I get a message that the recording service needs to be restarted in order to have the change be effective in those cases that need it, which seems to be not always the case. I think autostarting the recording service might cause problems when a recording is taking place.

Thanks for the help.
