improve TV playback

Hi, I only use NPVR to watch TV no recording, dvd, videos, etc. My issue is that sometimes I open a word document and the TV freezes for a couple of seconds and also the audio dephases from the video.

Is there a way of changing some setting so TV playback is improved?

I can do those activities and the TV playback keeps going smoothly. It probably more to do with your hardware not being up to it. It's most likely related to either slow hard drive, or lack of available CPU. Maybe bring up the cpu monitor in task manager, and see if it maxes out for short periods.

Hi Sub, it was my fault I increased the bitrate hehe and I forgot about it

</Analog>

now I went back to the default values and it's a LOT better.

I have a question are there another bitrate modes?

CBR is constant bitrate. VBR is varible bitrate.
