I have nova-t 2002 latest software and drivers also intervideo and cyberlink muxers
the program itself seems to be functioning to the point of letting me map channels. you pick a program to record gbpvr says its recording, it even produces the folder but no file.
any help would be appreciated because i am now running out of ideas

When you say no file do you mean a 0 byte file or nothing at all?

If its a 0 byte file it could be the MUX you are using for the BDA device

Is your filesystem NTFS? It could be a permissions problem although the fact that it can create the folder suggests it isn't. I haven't seen the problem but I know there have been discussions on the subject.

Thanks for the replies really want to get this going it blows the other stuff away

in reply to sub and others who were so kind to reply, here is the results of mux search
GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: InterVideo Multiplexer
FILE: C:\WINDOWS\AVerTV2K\ivimux.ax
VERSION: 1.0

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerVCRII\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 3.0.10.21

initially i was getting the file in the folder as well but always at 0bytes
os here in non sp2 winxp pro, loads of hd space athlon 3000 64bit 1.5gb ram
latest version of gb-pvr latest drivers for nova-t card also downloaded power vcrii for cyberlink muxer have quite a naff signal on the card at the moment but usable

Ok, I'm not sure if this is your problem, but....

Both of those mux filters are very old and will cause issues. Try to find the Cyberlink MPEG Muxer v5.0.0.727 or later. Some others also recommend v4.xxx, but I havent personally tried these.

Try updating this, and let us know if you still have a problem. If so, I'll take a look at you logs next.

I wouldnt really recommend using the Intervideo mux, as it seems to have problems. I've only tested InterVideo Multiplexer v3.0.86.0, but I suspect you v1.0 is much worse.
