PatM Wrote:Nope, it's NPVR. I'll do a different post about it. Basically I have the colossus channel changer set to eventghost and for some reason it's changing a parameter from 3 to 1.

My args:

-n localhost:1024 pass channel 3 {channel}

the address and port work (or EV wouldn't see the message), the password "pass" works or I'd get an error poppup, the 'channel' script name works or the rest wouldn't be processed. the {channel} works as I can see it in the event logs but the '3' becomes a 1.

It's not eventghost as I made no changes and I even loaded a backup config I saved when I first set everything up.

The only thing I haven't done is emptied the EPG and other tuner and redid everything.
You'll need to post the logs showing this problem.

I believe that I had the same issue that you did starting today. I'm going to run through my process just to confirm the issue, so sorry for being long winded. My setup is Windows XP, MCE remote / receiver working with HIP, 2 x 950q & 1 x HD PVR & 1 x HD-PVR150. Long story short, reinstall HIP.

I was having some problems with my computer, so put a fresh install of Windows XP, and then a fresh install of nPVR. I tested my cards, and each worked last night on my test run. I was able to record 3 programs simultaneously, 2 on clearQAM on a 950q and 1 on the HD PVR. This evening, I tried to watch something, and found that the HD PVR wouldn't light up when I activated that stream, and the live tv would shut down. At this point, I was able to change channels with HIP and the HIPSend command. I installed all patches, and then rebooted Windows.

I then tested the HD PVR channel, and the unit lit up, but the channels wouldn't change. So I was able to view my HD PVR on nPVR. I have my cable box remote with me, and could change channels that way. I then opened HIP and tested commands, and found NO signal was being sent. I tried to teach a command to HIP from my cable box remote, and it wouldn't read the remote. It would work with the MCE remote. I then reinstalled HIP. I used my previous configuration, and lo and behold, HIP changed the channels. I then tested with nPVR, and it also worked fine. I'll need to see tomorrow if it actually holds, but for now, it is working.

One other thing. I had an issue with the MCE remote moving two spots for every button push in nPVR, and read a previous post for GB-PVR stating that he turned off the unit in device manager because two signals (one HIP & one Windows) were being sent. Reinstalling HIP and using the same config fixed this too.

cyclonegt68, sorry you might need to post the npvr.db3 so I can take a closer look at the blaster configuration with these channels.

Tried to upload it, but it exceeds the file size limitation for uploads. The file is 19.7mb before archiving, and 2.8mb after.

If you do an 'empty epg' then zip it, it'll probably fit. I don't need the listings.

If you empty the guide it should be small enough to upload. Then you can update the epg

Edit: beaten again!

ok, I emptied the EPG, and there is nothing in it. But, the file is still the same size. Am I missing something? Tried exiting the program, pressing F5 in windows etc... there is a file called empty.db3.

You might need to use a sqlite utility to vacuum it.
