Hi,

My computer is connected to the internet and has gbpvr running, but the TVGuide thing in GBPVR does not update. It just shows a blank screen with times. No programs or program information. I have restarted gbpvr and the computer, but nothing happens. what is going on?

Thanks

What happens when you click the 'update EPG' button?

What source of EPG are you using (XMLTV/Bleb/Zap2it)?

I also have this issue with the latest version of GBPVR. I can update the EPG from the the config program just fine, but the automatic updating doesn't work. No errors, just no updates. I am using Zap2it for the epg updating. In the mean time, I am update the EPG once a week from the config program.

Is you machine powered up at the scheduled time? or is it a problem with waking the machine to update the EPG?

Most of the times the machine is asleep when it is time to update. However, to confirm that it had nothing to do with that, I have tried running it from "right-clicking" the GBPVR recording service icon and then clicking to update the EPG. It opens the window stating that it could take a few minutes to update, but it never gets to dialog of connecting to zap2it, processing listings, and saving.

I found this same thing happening after I had been using Zap2it for a while. Where the channel numbers would come up but no listings. What I found is that zap2it had posted a question on my account and would not let me use the service until I filled out their online questionaire. Once that obligation was complete, I again started receiveing updates again. Hope this helps,

I stil got this problem epg update never worked by me.
I got a xml file that i update with a batch file

cd\
Cd\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\jxmltv\
java -jar jxmltv.jar be.tvb

this works perfect.
Now i need to run this script once a week manual and then i need to do update epg manual. Sad

when i look at my tvguide somme programs got changed start ours.
The programs in the guide are not update? the change is just set in the guide as a new program?

exmpl. the movie X first start at 20.00, after the update the movie need to start at 19.50 (becuase the tvchannel has changed the ours for somme reason)
What i get to see in my tvguide is movie X starting at 19.50 and Movie X start again at 20.00 So gbpvr only records the first 10 min because the Second part is an other movie for gbpvr ....
Sollution that works ?
