XMLTV Setup for Germany...

Hi all

First of all, thanks for the good work! nice piece of software.

I am trying to get the Live TV working, but I have no idea how to get a xmltv File for my Channel lineup (Even without EPG Information)

Is there any FAQ or so how to setup those Channel or even get a EPG running? The XMLTV Webpage at Soucreforge seems a bit cryptic for me...

My Lineup: PVR350 and a MediaMVP hooked up to analog cable in Hannover/Germany...

also die XMLTV on Sourceforge ist sehr interessant...
Es gibt u.A. folgende Mögllchkeiten:

- TV-Movie Clickfinder und tvm2xmltz aus dem Internetdownload
- nextviewepg mit einer analogen TV-Karte (nicht PVR250/350) zum extrahieren der Videotextdaten.

Ich benutze beides und selektiere wer die besten Infos liefert.

Oder einfach die aktuellste xmltv version von hierladen.

Dann einmal xmltv.exe tvgrab_de_tvtoday --configure starten und Sender konfigurieren

In Zukunft kannste dann einfach xmltv.exe tvgrab_de_tvtoday --days 2(anzahl von tagen die er laden soll) --output C:\tvdata.xml(pfad zur datei)

jetzt funktioniert es auch mit xmltv... und das Update kann ich ja spaeter mit dem at commando regelmaessig ausfuehren.

Was nun noch fehlt: Die Kanaele passen nicht mit den "wirklichen" Kanaelen ueberein. Wie "schiebe" ich die in die richtige Reihenfolge? Vielleicht mit dem Tunerassistent?

Got xmltv working now. just need to change the channel order. Is there any kind of automatic using ttuner assistant or so?

use the tab "channels" in config to change your TV-Channel order
eg.
ARD 1
ZDF 2
...

Sorry, but I need to change the Channel numbers... When I go to live TV I get the Picture from N3 but the EPG of 3SAT.
And so on...

Where do I need to change it? In the xmltv config file (There 3SAT is the first) or somewhere in GBPVR?

Do you have the same problem with xmltv like PowerValve?
I cannot understand the reason.

In Setup for EPG is use the "Update EPG" Button - there is no manually added Channel.
It works fine for me.

Also ich habe dies benutzt: (aus einem der Postings)

Dadurch hatte ich im EPG dann alle Kanaele, allerdings war auf Programplatz 1 dann 3SAT. Und mein Kabelfernsehprovider hat als erstes leider NDR3. Und so weiter. Zum Teil ist "hinter" manchen Kanaelen im EPG auch nur Rauschen, daher ein unbelegter Kanal.

Ich muesste also nur den einzelnen EPG Sendern die richtigen Kanalnummer der PVR350 unterschieben. Und das hab ich noch nicht hinbekommen.

dafür kannst du den tuning-assistant benutzen. die kanalnummern notieren und in der konfiguration auf die richtigen sender verteilen. sollte klappen.
