I've tried searching to see if anybody has mentioned this before, but haven't been able to find anything...

My problem is not a major one, but I would think it easy to solve and it would be a great improvment in my view Smile

Could you (sub) add a line of code to check if gbpvr is already running when the command to startup gbpvr is given (e.g. green power button on hauppage remote is pushed) and only allow it to start if there is no other instance?

I'm guessing most people might not see it as a problem, but if you have kids that like to play with remotes you might have experienced the same problem as me Smile When there are multiple instances running it tends to make things a wee bit slow and it also messes up recordings etc...

Anyways, gbpvr is by far the best pvr software I've had and I'm really greatful for the work you guys are doing Smile

Cheers,
K

Actually, I explicitly allow multiple instances to be run for a reason. Each MVP server is just another instance of gbpvr.exe. If you have PVR350 or the XCard, then you may wish to be running two instances on the machine, one for the TV and one for the person using the computer.

could you possible add an option to force only one instance? i too suffer from this little bug (well not bug), sometimes i just hit the button twice or i hit the button (greenpower is mapped to start gbpvr) and while i wait i forget if ive pushed it and hit it again, and well 2 windows popup (a splash screen would tell me that gbpvr is starting, but people seemed to hate that idea....).

Thanx for the reply sub Smile Would it be possible (easy) to add an option like reven suggests? It seems like a nice solution to me Smile
