Upgrade to 2.6.2 - Device wont start

Any ideas how i go about debugging this? I'll try mcbains tbs fix of uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling but after that I'm out of ideas.

I've fiddled some more, I tried a complete uninstall of the drivers and re-install, that got me back to the same list of devices I had prior to the upgrade -see picture

But none of the devices will scan, all I get is a device wont start message. - I'll have to revert back if no one has got any suggestions - perhaps I'll be forever stuck on the old version :eek:

None of this device connection stuff changed in 2.6.2, so I'm sure surprised the previous version would be any different.

Normally I'd give you patches, which add more logging, so I could narrow down the cause. Unfortunately it's bad timing and not easy for me to help out, since my version of NextPVR has now moved to .NET 4, and is incompatible with your version.

Can you create a separate directory somewhere on your machine, and put the attached files in it. Run the test utility, and see if it does the same thing (in either the console output, or c:\users\public\npvr\logs\elmo.log)? You'll need to run this one a machine that has .NET 4 installed.

Assuming we can reproduce the problem with that test harness, then I can provide you an updated Unmanaged.dll files with more logging to try with the test harness, so we can ensure the next release will work for you.

Thanks for taking a look, just to be clear I assume it doesn't matter which version of NPVR is on the machine when I do this?

Also if I update to .net 4 I'm right in thinking it wont break anything NPVR related?

If I understand sub correctly, no it doesn't. This is separate from the NPVR install and just tests to make sure it will work when he releases the next version.

I'm pretty sure I have .net 4 on the machine, it shows up in control panel>programs>show windows updates.

Related to the problem or summit else?
