I know I am doing something wrong. I am trying to set up a clear QAM tuner using Schedules Direct as my EPG source. I've enabled the device, scanned and found 16 clear QAM stations using 'Default Cable Frequencies'. I have these channels enabled in my Schedules Direct line up and they show up when in my EPG in the GUI. I have a bunch of standard definition stations in my channels list too. Those show that I have sources attached to them, but I do not have any sources showing up for the QAM channels. How do I associate the scanned channel frequencies with the channel mappings from Schedules Direct?

I checked the wiki, but I didn't see anything about tying the two together. I know I'm overlooking something but I can't figure it out.

Settings->Channels; pick a clearQAM channel, click Details, choose Schedules Direct for the EPG source and select the channel from the dropdown. Repeat for each clearQAM channel.

That's definitely what I'm doing. The QAM channels picked up the channel names on the scan. One is KATC HD . I open that channel details, pick SD EPG and scroll and pick 1005 KATC DT. I did that for most of the ones I wanted and then did an update EPG. Still doesn't show any attached sources and as such, those channels are not viewable.

Hi Sub. Hope your travels went well. I am bumping the thread. I've taken some screen grabs of what I think are the relevant configuration screens and uploaded them to the album here http://imgur.com/a/tSg7P . Can you be so kind as to take a look and see what I might be doing wrong?

Sub, I probably should have mentioned that I used the SageTV import tool to import my Sagetv recordings. I did read that it was supposed to import my channels, but I'm pretty sure that didn't happen. I'm not sure if that mucked things up or not. I guess at this point I should bite the bullet and clear everything out and set up all my channels again?

The SageTV iimport wouldn't have created your devices, just channels and which you need to map and importing the Sage Channel icons. The channels look fine.

Your imported recordings will have trouble on NextPVR clients (I don't know about xbmc) because they are mpg and avi files and NextPVR likes to stream .ts files.

Thanks Martin. I'm also certain I tried playing one on XBMC and it worked. I already have a MediaMVP in my bedroom that I'm hoping to use with NPVR. Sounds like I won't be able to watch any of my Sage recordings on the MVP, right?
