I restarted it and I get a couple frames and then it gets garbled at the top of the picture and just freezes. See attached.
Is there a way to measure that the incoming signal is strong enough?

Logs are really what you need, spit normally isn't an issue broadcast cable will be under 20Mbs

Attached are the NPVR, NRecord and web logs. If there is another log file that will be helpful let me know.
Thanks again for your help.

I'd still like you to test with the Microsoft DTV-DVB decoder
I do see this message 2013-09-21 14:20:53.913 [DEBUG][1] EC_STILL_GOT_VIDEO (2) Make sure you have this config.xml setting <AlternateOSDForMissingVideo>false</AlternateOSDForMissingVideo> That also could mean the encryption flag is being turned on, sub might have more info if the config change didnt help. One channel continues to not deliver data 45 TRUTVP and might not be copy freely so don't test with it. Martin

I switched it back to the MSFT decoder, and my config.xml does have that setting and it is set to false. Still no dice.

The Ceton card seems to be making an entry in my application event log every half second or so, some ambiguous error that really tells me nothing other than its service generated the error. If nothing else I would rather it didn't fill up my event log.
The description for Event ID 2 from source Ceton Tuning Adapter Host Service cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: Ceton Tuning Adapter Host Service TAHSP reports status = 4

If that is coming from SageDCT maybe comment on it on babgvant site. It's not coming from NextPVR. It might explain why encryption is getting turned out. If you have multiple cablecards I'd try reordering the ports in the NetworkRecord.xml and restart the recording service and try again, maybe it is one card in error.

Hi.
Use EVR instead of VMR9, VMR9 is for Windows XP.

Thanks guys. I switched to the EVR decoder, but still no joy. The logs are attached. I am able to watch and record through WMC now however.
