3.1.1, XBMC and .edl

Hi,

I see that 3.1.1 supports streaming commercial skipping data to XBMC. Does it work in XBMC already or does the NextPVR add-on have to be updated?
Also, would it be possible to stream an srt in a similar way? I ask because I find it much easier to rip out teletext subtitles to srt during show postprocessing and display those subtitles than displaying the live teletext subtitles.

The NextPVR XBMC addon is targeting Frodo at this stage, and XBMC 12.x (Frodo) doesn't have the capability to request and use the comskip EDL at this stage. The API is ready in NextPVR though, for when we move to XBMC 13.x Gotham in the future.

I've not heard any talk of them adding an XBMC PVR interface for requesting srt files in this way. XBMC would need to be asking the PVR addons for the SRT before the NextPVR XBMC addon could be updated to deliver this data.
