it should query

recording.edl&recording_id=86821&format=json

which will be in the nextpvr web.log file, can you check the output of that query?

and ive just added another line of debugging to show its querying for the markers (currently only really debugs anything if the markers are found, not if they arent).

I don't have the web.log files from earlier this afternoon when I first upgraded and was using it. (They rolled out.) And, when I try it now on the same recordings it IS getting the skip points. The only thing that I can think of that would have changed between this afternoon and now is that the Blu Ray player was powered off and back on. I had powered it off and and back on just before upgrading this afternoon. But I then immediately launched the app and played a couple of videos without rebooting the player. So, maybe the reboot after the upgrade made some other change. Oh well, as long as it's working now, I guess it's not a big deal.

might have just failed for some reason when the recording had started. it tries to load it, but if it cant it just continues and plays.

Reven,

I'm having trouble with the latest build on my BD-F900. When I go into TV guide, or any other menu, it is populated. As soon as I move the mouse to entries on the next page, the entries are blank. In guide, you get a description of the show that it is "pointing" at but the page is blank. Same goes for Recordings, settings,...

no, its under the settings screen under "Advanced".

if that page goes blank when selecting "Advanced", just push
- left (to select the list of settings, which is invisible)
- up (which will wrap and select the last item)
- "ok" (to toggle the last setting, in this case its the animations)
- return (go back to main menu)

that should turn it off.

Thanks reven. The first line should be right instead of left and it works.

if that page goes blank when selecting "Advanced", just push
- left (to select the list of settings, which is invisible) (Should be right)
- up (which will wrap and select the last item)
- "ok" (to toggle the last setting, in this case its the animations)
- return (go back to main menu)

I saw a comment from Reven saying that the most popular samsung model listed on his portal would be a good one to buy. That appears to be the BD-F5900. I have been led to believe the BD-FM59C is simply the Costco version of the BD-F5900 but is otherwise identical. Fry's has refurb BD-FM59C's for $60. This would be a wise purchase, yes?
