yes, it immediately snaps to the same ratio as the desktop by adjusting vertically. upon exiting and restarting, the window reverts to 16:10.

Auto. I tried changing it to a 4:3 size on the 4:3 display, it didn't change anything.

by the way, to be clear, this happens only when "Start in Fullscreen Mode" is unchecked... if you start full-screen then revert to a window, the window is the correct shape.

sub what is your screen resolution? if you force to a 16:9 or 4:3 resolution, do you really not get the same behavior?

I'm not talking about the TV Shape setting, but the UI Resolution setting.

I've just tried reproducing what you're describing, but it doesn't do it here. I was looking for other factors that might be different on your setup, so wanted to check the UI Resolution was set to Auto.

Yes, the UI resolution. I have it set to Auto, but already tried settings like 1024x768 and 800x600 (both 4:3 resolutions) and it didn't change anything about the behavior.

I wonder then if this is a Windows 7 vs. Windows 8/8.1 thing? All my systems are currently Windows 7, and I gather you're using 8.1?

I found the reason for this, and fixed it for the next build.

This isn't related to the original posters question though.

cool. I'd have believed one of my systems was just weird, but not both...

agreed. NextPVR is working as intended on his 16:10 monitor. I didn't know he had a 16:10 monitor until after I chimed in (I didn't see his couple of posts before mine, I was testing and typing). I believe zeb has a 16:9 monitor, and will find resizing his NextPVR window "snaps" it to 16:9 and eliminates the bars he's got.
