Also, I do love the Flintstones. My favorite episodes are when they have a guest character. I especially like the one with Ann-Margrock and the ones with Gazoo.

Done a little bit of testing, if you download the desktop gadget from NEWA's statistics page you can run as many gadgets as you have servers, they are set up individually. Then you can see at a glance which server is recording or not, and when the next recording starts

Because, initially, I thought/hoped that would be the answer to my situation. They are on different computers. IanSpringfield Wrote:OOOOOOO, that seems exactly what I want. An initial screen that shows me the servers, shows me the current recording status of each (ie, NTray status) and lets me choose which one to connect to. That would be beyond my wildest dream when I started this thread. Unfortunately, I'm talking about a regular old client PC and not an extender/PCH. I wouldn't suppose the capability is transferable? Even if it is, I would guess I'm not capable of the transfer.Sorry no status, just a simple menu enabling you to choose server. Nothing fancy. IanSpringfield Wrote:I just noticed your LG app thread and read the first and last pages. I've got a 2012 LG 7600 smart TV. I think that may work. You mention that I have to email you for the installation files. Can I consider this post a request? Can you private email me through the forum or do I need a separate email, and, if so, what email address do I send the request to?I think I wrote PM me, as in send me Private Message here, never mind. I will send you the details for installation but I intend to build a new version first including the latest fixes. Expect instructions in a day or two. /Fred

I've opened NEWA page on the client, I go to the statistics page, but I don't see any capability to download anything. Where did my train jump off the rails?

No, I didn't see that button. Then it occurred to me that the OS might have installed without the sidebar/gadgets (I've never used a W7 gadget). Sure enough, my default build did not enable it. So I added the feature. Then the button appeared, so I downloaded the file. Tried to install the download, but nothing happened and it didn't appear in the gadgets library. Then I renamed the download as "NPVRStatus.zip" and extracted it. I placed the extracted folder into C:\Users\Ian\App Data\Local\microsoft\windows sidebar\gadgets and renamed it "NPVRStatus.gadget"
Then it showed up in the gadgets list. I added it to the desktop, chose options, input "192.168.1.204". The port is default at "8866". Newa is enabled on the server. The gadget couldn't connect (just kelp saying "connecting" forever") and when I revisit the settings, it has defaulted back to server = "server" instead of what I put in. I have no further ideas.

Firewall is off on both the client and the server. Don't worry about it though, I've got an extremely workable solution. No real need for the gadget.
