A little background here. Windows Server 2012, NextPVR 3.2.9, Hauppauge Win-TV 2250

I had this all working well and have made several recordings. I've been playing with different ways to try and get this available on my Amazon Fire TV. (no success without it being buggy). Anyway, the other day I installed MediaPortal to try. I prefer NextPVR and uninstalled MediaPortal. Now NextPVR will still scan and find all the channels and even the EPG, but when I try and watch TV I get "Unable to find available capture device". Again, I had this working earlier this week before trying MediaPortal. For what it's worth I can still watch TV through the Hauppauge WinTV app. But I don't think that is what is causing the issue as I've had that installed long before I ever had NextPVR working.

What am I missing?

When I click on "Live TV" here is what I get in the log file

Code:
2014-09-27 07:57:41.984    [DEBUG][1]    GetServerStatus() returns:

Hmmm. I had done a reboot before but now I went into services and stopped the WinTV services and started them over, then stopped and restarted the NPVR service and now it's working.....

I'm still no convinced it's permanently fixed. Wish I know what I did. But it's working now...

If it happens again, post the logs and we'll take a look.

Happened again. Not sure where to find any Hauppauge logs but here are the winTV logs.

Rebooted yesterday and tried to schedule recordings this am.

Can't attache the logs here so here is a link to get them from my dropbox

Unfortunately I can't see an obvious reason in those logs. When it's in this state, can you visit the Settings->Devices screen, then post the npvr.log/nrecord.log again? By visiting this screen, it'll log some more detailed info about the devices in the system.

It looks like something has gone screwy with the drivers for you device. It can see the device, but it's claiming to not support any television standards - normally it'd sat it supports ATSC and QAM. I'm not really sure what to suggest on that one. Maybe reinstall the drivers for the device, or try a different version of the drivers.

I'll give that a try. It's weird though that I can still watch tv through win TV. But I'd not be surprise if something got messed with during my experimenting with other programs. It's almost like something else is claiming the tuners??

Did you add BDA drivers for Windows Server 2012 that Microsoft don't supply?

Yes. I've had it working and WinTV still works flawlessly.
