h55m-usb3 Wake on Lan doesn't work

I've been trying to get wake on lan working on my NPVR box for a while now with no success.

I've applied the settings in Windows and I think I've set it up properly in the bios disabling the EuP.

I've even installed a new NIC and that still didn't work. I did verify that when the computer is in sleep mode that the NIC light is still on.

Note that I have never explicitly sent a magic packet. I'll try that later this week though.

In the meantime, any other tricks to get WOL working?

This is for a win 7 64 bit machine.

Any pins/jumpers on the motherboard that need to be set?

I found the problem! The computer or router wasn't sending a magic packet. I downloaded a WOL magic packet program and it worked right away. It's weird because my xp machine doesn't need a specific program to do so. I just have to ping the xp machine either by commandline or by double clicking on the network path.

In device manager for the network device there is a tick box for "only allow a magic packet to wake the computer"
I found without this, the PC was waking up far too often.
