This weekend due to the overtime Football game all the shows were off by several minutes. How do I delete them but still have NextPVR record them again. I come from sageTV so that was easy there was an option to delete because it was the wrong recording and that would treat it as never recorded...... Do I have to manually go in and Delete the file then delete the history to that file?

The easiest way is delete all the history which is not very appealing for me. You can delete that specific unique identifier from the recently_deleted table but you need to know what that is. After a Scorpions episode got messed up with the Ferguson verdict, I wrote a utility that replaced the unique_id from the scheduled_recording table, that I called via the Files Plugin and it re-recorded last week. iGL even handled the duplicate so I was happy. I'd like to see this as a feature in the next version of NextPVR if not, I guess I could release it (nsu.exe = "Not So Unique")

I'd like to see it as a feature in NPVR as well, some times a recording gets messed up and I want to rerecord it. Purging everything is not an option for me since I record a lot of old televiion. I do like the idea of being able to do it in the Files plugin. I'll need to review the commands menu option again.

Try Next End it works for me, makes the recording go long and gets all of it.

Yes, it would be nice to have an easy way to delete a recording but not have it's ID added to the recently deleted table. Maybe just a generic "Forget" option in the hidden menu that wipes out a program's unique_id, so then you can do whatever you want with the recording (keep, delete it, move it, whatever, it won't affect later attempts to record a program with the same unique_id).

I had a situation awhile back where a completely different show recorded that what was scheduled, but it turned out to be something I wanted to keep... yet keeping it prevented NPVR from recording a repeat of the lost show that aired a month later. So being able to simply tell NPVR to "forget" it recorded a show would be very helpful.

Greg

That does not help if a program is joined in progress. What we want to do is delete it and record a future re-run of the show that was deleted because it was joined in progress.... or the wrong show all together.

Ok, I've added something like this for the next release.
