How to Watch Recorded DVR on PC?

Order matters. If I set SD first on the TV, then run Capture4Me, it's fine. So that is what I will do.

I am running the composite video from the back of the DirecTV (Genie) set top box simultaneously as I am running HDMI to the TV so I guess it's really smart and knows that the devices are not both capable of HD? I don't really care that much because I have a solution.

I tried it without turning the TV on and the set top box displayed the error message. I held down the Exit button and it changed to SD.
