To be honest, I think you should focus on trying to get a more reliable TV signal. If you've crappy files, they're always going to have problems, and it's gonna lead to low WAF etc.

Agree completely.

Recommendations on a head-end with multiple DVB-S receivers from the community please? Very happy with NextPVR, so the ones that give minimum pain for this software.

I do have a few spare PCs and laptops into which to plug cards/USB dongles, but I'm beginning to think that dedicated hardware will be the way to go.
