Unable to skip or FF in 3.5.7

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and Next PVR 3.5.7. Now when I try to skip or FF to get to the start of one of my shows, it completely locks up the playback. One or two skips works, but then it basically freezes until I hit ESC to return to the recording directory. Interestingly skip is working fine on recordings from Next PVR 3.3.8 that were recorded on Windows 8.1. I have attached my logs from my last attempt.

I notice that you tried with both the Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder and the CyberLink Video/SP Decoder from PowerDVD7 (rather old). Did you get the same results with both? If you just let the file play and don't try to skip, does it play fine beginning to end?

Also, any particular reason you are using the Overlay renderer instead of EVR? I'm not saying that's the cause of the problem, but it is an odd choice that probably isn't tested much any more.

Given that you say files recorded previously to your upgrade still play fine, I'm going to surmise it has something to do with the HDHR driver or settings.

I tried both decoders, but the Microsoft DTV-DVD does not work with ts files since I am running Windows 10. So the CyberLink is the only one I currently have installed and seems to be working great in other applications and was working fine in NextPVR before the 3.5.7 upgrade and the upgrade to windows 10 (from windows 8.1)

I switched to the EVR renderer but that did not fix the problem. I don't recall why I changed it in the first place.
I also checked my HD homerun Prime drivers and firmware and I was already running the latest version. (20150826)

I tried just leaving the file to see if it ever returns. It does return and says that I am at the end of the recording. I'm thinking that the timing file for ts is messed up, but I wouldn't expect that to be the decoder. Does that point to my HDHomerun Prime or NextPVR?

Many of us use the SAF installer to get decoders ... Send a forum private message to Hoborg and ask for the "unlocked" version that has the "best" decoders including recent C/link ... http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post414049

Actually that does sound like a long-standing issue with the HDHomeRun (not Prime, unless maybe you're not using a CableCard). The solution established more than 2 years ago was to change the main application in HDHomeRun setup from "NextPVR" to "Other: ATSC/QAM": http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post457164

However the last time I offered this advice, I was surprised to learn that recent versions of the SiliconDust software no longer have the Other: ATSC/QAM setting, so I'm not sure what to suggest at this time.

I was able to downgrade my HDHomeRun Prime to version 20141210 (although the firmware is still running 20150826). This has fixed the skip and FF for all new recordings, but the recording made with 20150826 are still not working.

I also installed the latest SAF decoders and that seems to have my system running better, but does not fix the old recording either. However, the MPC-HC video player allowed me to watch them as a work around.
