If I'm looking at the right place it's "msvcrt.dll".

I'm guessing it's the same sort of problem I was seeing with the Microsoft Line 21 decoder, it's a bit tempremental, and can crash (in a call to msvcrt.dll when it's copying some data). A you able to provide a chunk of this file that crashes? I'll take a look at this file too.
Until now, Closed Captions have always been processed in the background for North American users, regardless of whether you had the closed captions visible or not (both with the old MainConcept method, and the newer CC Extractor method). Because of this thread, I've changed it for the next release so that closed captions are no longer processed unless has requested to see them. This will at least help with any unexpected crashes that users get from this CC stuff even if they never use CCs.

I already sent you a link to the file in question.

I had an issue with NextPVR crashing whenever I tried to play any video. I realised it started when I changed the Decoder settings to enable AAC coded. It turns out the codec was actually missing and causing the software to crash. I found the fix here: http://www.nextpvr.com/decoders.html
Specifically this link on the page: https://matthill.eu/tutorials/install-wi...ayer-free/ I'm not sure if it matches any issues here, but I do hope it proves helpful for some |
