I use the GBPVR feature to only keep n number recordings because I don't want to fill my drive up with children's shows. What I don't like is that it deletes the oldest one (whether it has been watched or not) and records a new one.
I would like an option to not record the new one if the number of saved recordings has reached the maximum. If I want a new one recorded, I will manually delete one of the older recordings.
I understand that the existing way it is implemented is also desirable in some situations, so I understand this would need to be an option, probably off by default.
My PVR computer is also my main family computer and it is always doing a lot of recordings that may never get watched, taking resources from doing other things on the computer. Consider this an environmentally friendly feature, since the computer would be doing far less work than it needs to and using less electricity :-)
