Channel changing a UK SKY HD+ (sky make) via hauppauge colossus 2 IR Blaster

No, the widget I had just needed telling which remote it was from a list and from then on I just had to send channel digits out of the serial port.

I remember in the early days of the PVR150 and sky box - Hauppague got the IR coding wrong. I ended up creating a software oscilloscope to grab the codes froma real sky remote and their software to send to them to fix it - ah, the good old days!.
Currently I'm using DVB-S2 tuners for all my needs.

Update... I have found a device that enables the PC to change channels on a SKY HD+ UK STB

It is a Dual output RF2 Sky Controller. The developer, Joseph has been extremely helpful. Here is the link to his product. http://www.dusky-control.com/serial.shtml.

I can now get it working using a windows app they have developed for their hardware. http://www.dusky-control.com/software.shtml

I have tested the unit and sent a command to the Sky box via the command prompt. eg sky-control --scontroller COM4 --sky+ --channel 105 (I have the RS232 connected to COM4 on the PC) and I changes the channel to Channel 5 (105)

Question.... I have added the sky-controller application to the NPVR directory, changed the app to be called in the device setup from the Haupblast to this one, but based on the command sequence shown above that works from the command prompt, what is the syntax needed for NPVR

I called mine with... Executable c:\program files\re.exe and Arguments {channel} this called the executable with a 3 digit argument of the channel, which was no problem as I wrote it. I see no reason that you couldn't use a batch file instead and just have your command in it followed by the passed parameter. (I'm fairly sure that a batch file can be called???)

be aware though that running npvr as yourself differs from unattended operation with permissions and environment variables different for you and SYSTEM.

Sorry, I speak rubbish. I was going to have a test to see if other plain text could be included in the arguments bit of the config settings by calling a test bat file, but .bat is not accepted.
