Installing 3.9.2 Unable to start service

Kodi 16.1

I had been running 3.8.3 without much trouble.
I installed 3.9.2 but immediately started having connection errors so I tried installing 3.8.3 on top of it. I have not been able to get it to run.

I installed everything, rebooted and tried installing 3.9.2 again from scratch but am getting Unable to start service during the install (screenshot attached). If i ignore the error, I can fire up NextPVR were I get audio but no video.

Kodi gets choppy audio and video

I tried to get my logs but I get a message that they are in use. If i try to stop the NPVRRecording Service I get a 1061 error.

Use NextPVR's "zip my log files and show me where the zip file is" button.

I rebooted and was able to zip the logs (attached) before the service started ..
Will that work?

It looks like you've got the LAV Video Decoder selected. This decoder is known to not work well with NextPVR. Try a different decoder.

Thanks..

I changed the Video Decoders to Microsoft DTV-DVD. Most channels now work but the video is choppy
Kodi channels are also choppy

NextPVR doesn't play too much of a role in the actual playblack. Any choppyness will come down to something else going on, like choice of video decoder, or updated video drivers, or even something to do with your audio device.

I know you thought this happened around installing 3.9.2, but given we're not seeing any other reports, and nothing has really changed in NextPVR that'd effect this, I'm thinking it's likely a coincidence,

I too was getting choppiness with audio and video with Live TV in Kodi. I found this thread from nearly two years ago http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...Kodi/page2. Adding an exception in my AV software (Microsoft Security Essentials) for my nextpvr folder 'c:\program files(x86)\npvr' has fixed the choppiness for me.
