Those two channels are on the same frequency again, so going to the same card. Just focus on separate frequencies for now and we can come back to that scenario.
More info, I disabled tuner A to see if I could get B to play an encrypted channel and it did so the plugin in that folder does work.
When I recorded a encrypted channel and played a fta channel a get a tab for both tuners in acamd monitor.
Sorry sub i dont know how but missed your post re frequencies. I wil add more channels on diff freq and test in the morning. Thanks for all you help so far.
I couldn't sleep. Your suspicions are correct all works well when the recording / viewing channels are on different freqs so hopefully this is solvable.
To be honest, it's probably just a case of increasing the multidec instance count on the tuner, and copying the multidec plugins into the new instance directories in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\MDPlugins\xxxxx. (remember to restart the recording service for the change to be picked up)
You'd need one instance for each simultaneous stream from that device. ie, two channels from one frequency would require an instance count of at least 2.
I suspected this. Out of curiosity is there a way to force a channel at a time per tuner? (not that it should be an option as the fact it does this is cool)
