OK, I've tried the first patch, and no luck.

Then, I tried the 2nd patch. Again, no luck.

But, I did notice that when selecting an item in the menu screen,...
when I click 1st item, the 2nd line is highlighted. And, when clicking the 4th item, the 6th item is highlighted. That indicates to me that the code thinks it is full screen, even though it is actually 1/4 screen.

If I cursor to each different line, they get highlighted correctly.

Maybe that'll help....

So clean install no joy. It happened on a computer that has never even seen NextPVR before even.

Maybe to duplicate it try the following:
Set scale to 150, reboot. Install NPVR and go back and forth between full screen and windowed mode a few times, reboot a few times and do it again?
It happened on the second computer after opening it about the 3rd time. I was setting the channels (fresh no restore configs) and I had rebooted for something else and next time I caught it was zoomed again.

Guess next step will be clean install of the prior version and that might say if Windows changed something or not. Kodi follows the scaling properly though. Maybe some flag exist you can set in a program to not scale on the code level or something?

Seems like no progress on this.
That said I've seem to have made some myself playing around.

So turns out windows has a way to disable scaling for a specific application. Only thing is it didn't appear to work for me. So in playing more I ran it in compatibility mode for Win 8 with the scaling for the specific app set to disabled and noticed it was viewing properly now. So I went back and ran it in normal mode and it was still proper. I re-enabled the scaling for the application and it's still proper.

So not sure what triggered it to go back to normal if it was just running it once as windows 8 or a combo of that with scaling on the app disabled but i'm now working normal again with both settings reverted to defaults.

I found these playing with a hidden troubleshooter used on the surface pro but the same settings are found by going to properties and compatibility on the exe.
The scaling one mentioned high DPI and the compatibility one is fairly obvious.

So anyone with the issue try playing with those or running it as windows 8 mode ONCE and see if that fixes it for you too under the normal windows 10 (non-comparability) running also like mine now is.

We'll see how long it lasts given a fresh install had the issues after a few runs too.

That's weird, but I'm glad you found some way around it on your setup.

Ok figured it out.
It's indeed under the compatibility tab as after going window mode back to full screen a few times it started happening again.

I noticed when the issue happens it's automatically checking the box "Disable display scaling on high DPI setting".

Unticking this box resolves the issue. But not sure why it randomly re-ticks just from jumping between windowed vs. full screen. But at least I can manually fix it when it happens.

Hopefully this helps others.
I suspect it's something with windows and not thinking it's compatible properly or something silly.

What's funny is it seems inverse. To me it being ticked should look normal IE not scaled while untick should mean scale but the reverse is happening. Not sure if it really is supposed to function this way though but still annoying it keeps ticking from jumping around.

Moving from a duplicate issue post to keep things together:
Same problem. Native 1360x768 Samsung TV, Win7Pro x64, fresh install of OS and usual programs, latest NPVR (copied npvr.db3 from old 2.6.6 install, did not copy config.xml but did edit the new one in about 4 places according to my old config.xml), Display set to 125% increased text size. In windowed or full-screen and at various UI resolutions, NPVR is overscanned (just like OP screenshot). When DPI is put back to 100%, NPVR displays normally.

The executables posted by Sub didn't fix the problem. Nor am I able to fix it via the "Compatibility" tab -odd.

As a work around, I was able to use the Settings/General UI Zoom to get the display close to what it should be. The most reduction allowed was -20% so I used the settings: %:-20; X:-12; Y:-6. I'd still like a solution as the zoom isn't perfect, the L/R sides are still slightly cut off.

I'm responding to this thread instead of my UI size post as the partial fix for me was identified here. I too have the same problem with Windows automatically checking the "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" compatibility box EVERY time I switch NPVR from windowed mode to full screen. Fortunately, I only use windowed mode so that's a good enough work-around for me. Thanks to those who figured this out!!

A couple observations I had were: The choice of NPVR's "UI Resolution" selection had no effect on my 1920x1080 display when Windows' text is adjusted to 150% and I had no hope of obtaining consistent display behavior unless I exited and restarted NPVR after changing anything on the General settings screen. Most times the very first change was instantly observable, but any additional changes appeared to be ignored if NPVR wasn't exited. Also, don't forget to sign out of Windows 10 every time Windows text size setting is changed too.

No new news on this one I guess... I have been using KODI now to access NPVR on the backend, and that works, but it would nice if I could use NPVR natively.
Oh well, I know it's impossible to troubleshoot something you can't duplicate.
