Playback of GoPro Vids 1920x1080 60fps 30k kbps on NMT or in Kodi on RPi2

When I searched the forum I guess I sort of asked this question a few years ago http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ediaMVP-HD but never really ran it to ground.
When I play GoPro Vids 1920x1080 60fps 30k kbps on NMT or in Kodi on RPi2, the video starts then stops, then (in Kodi 17 on Librelec 7.9.5) I can see a buffering bar, and if I hit pause and that bar gets ahead of the playback bar it will play OK (until the buffer catches up).

It's a bit annoying as sometimes it plays by itself after buffering (shorter vids) but sometimes it just stops and jumps out of the vid.

The video file plays fine on the PC both in NPVR or directly.

I attach logs, I am not sure if they are useful?

When it plays, it plays fine - so it seems (as per previous thread) the clients are actually fine.
So, does this mean the PC (NPVR) has to process /stream the file first and could it be my computer that is the bottleneck for the playback?

Have you tried changing the pause time for when kodi switches resolution

With limited information on the file itself I will guess the file format is VC-1 and you don't have VC-1 license for the RPi2. Also both the NMT and the RPi2 will have problems over the network with hight bitrate or hig profile files.

@stustu - I'll have to look into how to do that.
@martin - actually I did buy the license thingy - one of the first things I did when I bought the Pi.
I assume I don't have to reconfigure it if I upgrade openelec librelec or Kodi?

What I may not have is gigabit Ethernet on all routers and switches. Will check. But when it plays it plays ok?
So no one reckons age of my PC is an issue?

There are two licenses mpeg2 and vc1 you can confirm they are enabled via telnet.

vcgencmd codec_enabled MPG2
vcgencmd codec_enabled WVC1

OK, good idea. Just remembered all Pi2/Pi3 variants are 10/100; NMT as well, so no use thinking about changing to Gigabit Ethernet switches as a solution :-)

Hi stustu - been trying to find your suggested change - by pause does this thread show what I need to change? i.e. in System -> Display ?

I find if I don't set this to something other than zero the video is just crap
Make sure setting level is on advanced

I assume it is this screen (in Libreelec) - I tried 1s, and 5s but my GoPro Vid still seized up :-(

Yes, both enabled.
