The little circle icon appears briefly. That is it, and the same applies if I try to start by avoiding the menu shortcut by using the Program files entry. NPVR, NRecord and NTray are all showing in the Process list.

Done. The NextPVR GUI started ok from the Start menu but I still cannot see the settings using the tray - it just does the spinning circle thing for a few seconds.

There was an issue with using the Settings option from the tray context menu, when the app was set to start fullscreen. This has been fixed, and a patch was posted another thread a few days ago, but that patch isn't in the main installer at this stage.

Oh, dear. Now the NextPVR GUI has refused to open again until I did a reboot - exactly the same behaviour as was happening until Graham asked me to reboot above. A bunch of things that were scheduled to record over the last day or so appear to have malfunctioned, ie: the recordings appear in the list but they do not play. I'm not sure if the malfunction is because of file corruption or simply non-creation of the thing but, obviously, they've been flagged as recorded in the database.
I'm becoming a bit frustrated with this. Is it feasible for me to revert to the 3.9 version or has the database structure changed?

Do they have valid files on disk? Can you play them in another player like VLC? ie, determining if it's a recording or playback issue. |
