If it does live tv fine, then it should be recording fine too, since they use the same mechanism.

If you record, can you play it back in another player? Like VLC.

The recording is the same regardless of the player. I honestly don't think it is a player issue. What ever is causing it, really messes with Nextpvr. If I try and skip forward, it goes back. Keyboard or on screen buttons. And it skips back to the same spot. And that is in Kodi or Nextpvr client.

Well, thanks for the attempt to help. I recorded my wife's favorite news magazine on Sunday and it recorded perfectly. I will keep an eye on it. I did upgrade the cpu, board and ram, recently, so it may of been just a slow system.

so is this still the best card for this? Just checking in as I'm looking at biting the bullet soon... going to run an antenna from my attic to my utility room, put an antenna in the attic and then will need to get something going.
