I am trying to setup GBPVR. I am in Pennsylvania and have the EPG Source set to Zap2it. I have entered my correct username and password. These are the only settings available to me. When I go to update the EPG, I am told my source settings are not correct. Waht is the correct why to setup GBPVR to use Zap2it? Do I have to download an additional plugin? thanks.

Have you created your zap2it account at labs.zap2it?

Do you have a firewall which may be blocking GBPVR from getting its information?

Cheers,
Colin.

I have created an account at labs.zap2it.com. I do have Norton Internet Security 2005 on the computer. Also, it is an Asus A8N-sli board with an nVidia nForce 4 chipset that has a hardware firewall. How how I modify settings to allow the zap2it data through the firewall?

Did you configure it after login at the zap2it site? What provider, channels, etc?

Evrything is configured correctly at the zap2it website. I have looked at the channels and provider and they are correct. It seems to be on my end.

In config, on the Capture sources tab, click the Edit button beside your source.
Click on the Settings button beside Recording source.
In the top box, Capture Card Type, have you selected YOUR capture card?

Yes, my Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 is checked. Ichecked the firewall setup. It was denying xmltv access to internet. I have changed this but still no luck.

Michael,

It sounds like I am having the same problem as you. I have found that the EPG update works but only very sporadically. I usually have to hit Update EPG about 10 times before it actually downloads the listings. The nightly auto-update is also not working. This has been going for several weeks now after many successful months of trouble free updates.

I don't know if it's a coincidence that we have the same motherboard. I thought it might be the NVidia firewall but even with it disabled the problem persists. I did update my BIOS and the chipset drivers recently but I can't see how those changes could affect the downloading of EPG listings. Basically, I'm open to suggestions.

When you next try it, post your config.exe.log. It should tell us what is happening.
