Does a tuner remain set to a channel or does it become unassigned? In the later case, my checking on live TV would suggest I was getting a new session on the tuner or maybe a new tuner. I have 6 of them.

I can state that Ceton doesn't seem to care much about PVR programs other than WMC. I still don't understand how they expect to continue to sell tuner cards with CableCard support.

Other devices just stay on the channel until they're explicitly told we're finished with it. I'm not sure how the Ceton behaves in this regard - I don't have one of these devices.

I thought they'd gone out of business. Maybe the they're still trading to continue to sell existing stock.

They have no market for that "existing stock". But they are selling 6 tuner devices that connect with either PCIe or USB.

New information. No idea what it means. One show failed to record. The next show, which was consectutive and overlapped the recordings, did record without a hitch. Would NPVR have used the same tuner? Or would it have allocated a new tuner? I don't mind it reusing the same tuner as long as it doesn't do what MCE does: Truncate the first show even if more tuners are available. To me, NPVR should be able to write data from one tuner to both files.

But back to the matter at hand, if NPVR uses the same tuner, then something weird is gong on.
