Update: nothing conclusive as of yet. Been busy, but recordings either show up or they don't over days. Nothing conclusive enough to post. Anyways,it isn't an emergency or a deal breaker. I'll keep an eye on it, and see if I can nail it down.

I have had this problem for recordings not updating since NextPVR became supported on Kodi. I kept waiting but the problem is still there. It looks like I have to reboot kodi (Openelec) to refresh recordings. The weird thing is that Kodi shows alerts when recordings finish or start, but the list of recordings does not get updated. Any ideas?

I dont have anything new. My install still does it, but since everything else about the program is awesome, and it's only in Kodi, I have learned to live with it no complaints. I am hoping the next iteration of Kodi may change the results. But to refresh, I have tried just about everything to figure it out and it's 50/50 still. Of course it could be my setup somewhere. But it was working solid up to K v16.

Install the "watchdog" addon in Kodi to monitor your media folders and update the list automatically when files are added or deleted.

That addon is for the libraries not for pvr.nextpvr.

I can confirm the problem still exists in LibreElec 8.0.1 and NextPVR 3.9.2. I just converted over from TVHeadend, which didn't exhibit the problem.

I've seen references to fasthash (Tried) and a UTC issue which I would have assumed to have been pushed out by now. Any other possible suggestions?

This still happens in openelec 8.0.4 (kodi 17.3 & nextpvr client 2.4.11). As a workaround, "clear data" in kodi's general "pvr&live tv" settings will reload everything and show new recordings, which is slightly less painful than rebooting openelec just to refresh the recordings list. Just like zaldwaik, popup alerts inform us when a recording starts/ends but the recordings list is never updated. This thread also discusses this issue.

BTW X-NEWA displays the new recordings automatically just fine.

On my system, if you delete an old recording, the list is refreshed as well.

Disabling/Re-enabling the NextPVR PVR Client under Addons->My Addons->PVR Clients seems to refresh the recordings list as well. This action doesn't wipe out the recently played channels which is nice and doesn't require deleting a recording.
