So does anyone have any ideas what's going on? I'd love to give the android app a go but I don't believe it will work on earlier versions...

For the avoidance of doubt ... Is it true that uninstall then delete NPVR folders then re-install doesn't work ?

Can't say that I've tried exactly that, I'll have a go tomorrow and report back, hopefully it works

I wrote the above assuming that it was the updating of an existing installation that was a problem.

Yeah I was trying to update an existing installation, have just uninstalled as directed, but get exactly the same problem,
"Could not load file or assembly 'unmanaged.dll' or one of its dependencies, so I'm still stuck....

Its not a general Windows 7 problem as I am sure lots of people are still using it with NextPVR. Until earlier in the month I was running Win 7 Home on my server. I just booted up on the old disk and it was running NextPVR 4.1. The other software installed was .NET 4.71 and ASP .NET MVC4 Runtime.
NextPVR Server - HP N54L Microserver, Windows 10 - Storage 2 X 3TB - Tuners DVBSky S952 Twin DVB-S/S2 PCIe, Hauppauge Twin DVB-T2 USB, Telestar Digibit R1 Sat>IP Server.
Clients:- 2 X RPi3, 1 X RPi4 and Acer RL80 Celeron Nettop all running NextPVR New Client on LibreElec.

I have tried that, no difference, I'm pretty sure though that have a dotnet install problem,I may have to go the difficult route and uninstall dotnet and try again,I didn't know this was possible until yesterday, but I won't have time for a few days at this stage to try it
