Skinning question - Adding more listings, making it fit

I'm editing recordings2.xml so as to fit more than 7 items in the listing. I've changed the location and size of many parameters to list 8 now, but I want to aim for 9. I think I can do this by getting rid of the gap that appears between listings and tweaking other parameters.

With all my poking and prodding, I can't figure out how to do so. Can someone point me in the right direction? Also, is there a utility that can be used to edit the XML file and view the results real time? Currently, I am saving changes, closing the app and reopening.

Just changing these two lines has got nine showing

but you will probably also need to change the text sizes a bit to make it look right

Just as a secondary ..... you could add these fonts to the <Fonts> (at the top of the skin) to tweak the sizes that will only affect the Recordings2 skin

also make sure you make a back up of you modified Recordings2 skin as you modifications could well be overwritten in a future NextPVR update

This is great info, thank you. I have adjusted the font sizes to wife approved sizes, so I'm kind of stuck at that. Still, I'm going to try this out any way to see how I can adjust it.
