Hi,

i had recorded 2 shows, the first is about 45 minutes and the second about
2 hours. When i playback them out of the record section he says the first one
is 6 minutes and the second only 22 minutes ?!? What is wrong ? - he plays
the complete record and the the timebar in the upper screen moves (the most
of the time) correctly from the left to the right. Only at the last minutes he is
at the right end and moves not longer, but the movie is still playing. Then you
cant skipping forward anymore ...

Here is the Record-Log

Something is totally wrong with the timestamp in the mpeg i think.
BTW - I didnt used comskip or comclean in this movie yet.

Try a different mux filter for recording. The mux is responsible for generating the timestamps in the resulting MPEG2 file.

How can i change the mux filter ? everytime i register a new one and run again the
muxchecker i have two mux installed - a regsvr32 /u mpgmux.ax has no effect.
the cyberlink mux is always there ...

o.k. i fixed it - i had to kill it out of the registry ...

I had temp. installed Showshifter to get the mpgwriter.ax registered, but than
i cant record enything (always 0 Byte mpg). I deleted Showshifter and re-registered
mpgmux.ax again - recording is working - but the old timestamp problem.

i have the mpgmux version 5.0.0813 installed, which kind of other mux can i
else test ? gb-pvr only works with Cyberlink, Showshifter and InterVideo
me think ...

And in case of InterVideo i dont know what to download ...

What kind mux filter do U have installed and did the timestamp works correct ?

Now i had tried 4 (5) different mux filters and everytime the same error, the
timestamp is crap within the mpeg file.

The ShowShifter MUX didnt work at all
The InterVideo MUX has not such a good quality *IMHO* + Timestamp error
The CyberLink MUX (3 different Versions) quality is perfect, but timestamp error

What else can i do, what can i test. If I know that a different Software Filter will
not have this bug, i will buy it. I want to have this running ...

When i do a record with the original software from TwinHan i had no such errors,
but i dont know what kind of mux this software used - MuxChecker didnt found
anything ...

You're not using comclean are you? This breaks the timing information in the MPEG files.

Sorry, I dont know. Maybe you have marginal reception?

I've only seen timestamp problems with the Intervideo mux. I've never had any problems with the Cyberlink mux (5.0.0.727/5.0.0813/5.0.1307), ShowShifter mux (3.10.0.2824) or DVR-MS mux (XP SP2).

I found something - i dont know why i found it not earlier ...

GB-PVR shows that the movie is 00:21:10 long
When playing the same MPG with e.g. MediaPlayerClassic the movie is 02:09:58 long

Then must the timestamp be correct which comes from the mux, but gb-pvr shows
it not corecctly ...
