Hey Jere,

Just wondering how long I can run this in trial mode / free mode for as I am not sure how much time I will have to test & play with this but I really am excited to start but leaving for holidays soon and I am not sure if I should wait - comskip works for me but not that well

Free mode has no time limit. It will work forever.

If you received a trial key from me, then the email with the key will tell you when it expires. Generally two weeks.

Oh, change list:
- Channel numbers from the SageTV webserver that contain letters won't cause SA to crash.
- Improved error tolerance in audio decoder.
- Fixed "-ini" command line parameter
- Renamed length evaluations to be less confusing
- The status window will now show if it is running in free or normal mode
- School House - NEW! Enjoy.
- Registering will now delete the old key(s).
- Started adding advanced settings to SAConfig. First settings to be added: custom borders for each side.

So far, near 100% detection on American cable. I've tested several shows, including The Family Guy on Fox, Stella on Comedy Central, and a long special (Ape To Man) on The History Channel, and The Venture Brothers on Cartoon Network.

- SchoolHouse: Timeline now updates after applying new settings.
- SchoolHouse: Fixed crash when going to Previous Transition if the cursor was already at the begining of the file.
- SchoolHouse: Selecting a different profile will now load those settings.
- SchoolHouse: Settings will automatically be applied when starting the analyzer.
- SchoolHouse: Tried to reduce the necessary screen real estate.
- SchoolHouse: An error opening a file no longer results in two errors, just one.
- Added ability to pad commercials in the .txt file.

Bug fixes anyone? Especially for free mode users.

- Placing the mouse over the system tray icon will now display what show is being analyzed and the percentage complete.
- Fixed bug with free decoder crashing.
- Free decoder can now decode HD files. The AC-3 audio stream will be ignored.
- Fixed the mode indication on the status window. (It always indicated normal mode)
- Added more command line options. These allow you to specify recording specific information about the show being analyzed (e.g. show name, channel, category, etc.) that will be used in selecting the settings profile.
- Fixed Free/Normal selection bug.

- SA will silently exit if a txt file is found. This should prevent two instances from running on the same file.
- Modified mouse over text. Will only display the base name. Won't display percent done if it doesn't make any sense.
- SchoolHouse: Made cursor a little easier to see. (It's the blue box)
- Modified audio decoder in normal decoder to improve syncronization in DVR-MS files.
- Optimized DVR-MS support some. Should be twice as fast or faster.
- Corrected behavior of -help command line parameter.
- SAConfig: Improved ability to determine if profiles need to be saved.
- Improved DVR-MS demuxer's adherance to the specification.
- Fixed "out of order frames" in DVR-MS files.
- AC3 audio in DVR-MS files is now properly handled.
- Improved the closed caption handling. Now handles all types of captions and can extract them from DVR-MS files.
- Changed registration key saving methods.

NOTE TO DEVELOPERS:
To determine if SA is registered, look at the contents of the file "mode.status" in SA's settings directory. The "IsRegistered" key is no longer used. Hopefully, this will allow SA to be run by a service.
