non en_US characters in Search Guide

In Search Guide there is no option to see shows which begin with non en_US characters. For example we use in Estonia some kind of mixed alphabet from with national language letters: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSŠŽTUVWXYZÕÄÖÜ. It would be extremely nice if next realase of GBPVR would recognize if there are some shows in guide which doesn't begin with regular latin letter, it lists also these shows. For example I can't find Estonian local popular talk-show "Ärapanija" from nowhere inside guide search. Although in guide browse there it lists. I guess there is the same issue with sweds, finns, etc.

in the skin you are using, there is a folder called "search" in that folder there is a skin.xml file, open it in notepad or whatever and change this line

so the extra characters are listed.

you might have to add this line to the top aswell

Actually, it won't work. When adding "ŠÄÖÜÕ" to named place and running gbpvr, it complains about illegal characters on line. So, how then it could be used?

Try adding this to the first line of the file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

added this to top of .\skin\search\skin.xml

and after adding "ŠÕÄÖÜ" to alphabet, gbpvr gave me error:
Error: There is an invalid character in the given encoding. Line 20, position 83.

and thats it :-(

Sorry, it might be case sensitive. Try UTF-8.

Still no success. Gives the same error. Any new ideas?
