Hi,

here the PostProcessing.bat

Code:
comskip %1
CALL comclean %1 >>%1.comskip.log 2>>%1.comskip.err

I tried to do it manually as well ...

just run the postprocessing.bat with the complete path+file as argument.

E.g.

PostProcessing.bat "D:\Eigene Dateien\Eigene Videos\TV Capture\Galaxy Quest - Planlos durchs Weltall\Galaxy Quest - Planlos durchs Weltall_20050903_20152215.mpg"

I will post the comclean.log and comclean.err aswell :

Code:
Log :

Resulting cutpoints:  0:2:42 0:35:11 0:59:34 1:23:47 1:37:45

C:\PROGRA~1\devnz\gbpvr>"c:\Programme\devnz\gbpvr\mpgtx.exe" -j -f -o "D:\Eigene Dateien\Eigene Videos\TV Capture\Galaxy Quest - Planlos durchs Weltall\Galaxy Quest - Planlos durchs Weltall_20050903_20152215_clean.mpg" "D:\Eigene Dateien\Eigene Videos\TV Capture\Galaxy Quest - Planlos durchs Weltall\Galaxy Quest - Planlos durchs Weltall_20050903_20152215.mpg" [-0:2:42] [0:5:6-0:37:35] [0:42:53-1:7:16] [1:13:4-1:37:17] [1:42:10-1:56:7]  [2:1:22-]
Resulting cutpoints:  0:2:42 0:35:11 0:59:34 1:23:47 1:37:45

That log shows a successful comclean process.
There were 5 commercial blocks detected, and comclean did 6 passes on the show portions, just as it should.
The warning about valid system header is totally unknown to me. Maybe Erik has some ideas.
Is the resulting mpg cut properly?
Can you compare it to the original, and see where (if) comclean did it's cuts correctly?
If you open the original in virtualdubmod (takes a couple of minutes), then you can go directly to the frame that comskip detected in the log, and see if it's detection is accurate. (It seems that it is).
Check the beginning and ending of each cut.
Compare it to the comcleaned mpg.
It should be smaller, and although there may be the odd commercial in it, most should be gone.
You can never have enough tuners!

The message comes from mpgtx and it signals a serious problem in the mpg file.
Net result could be that mpgtx does not create an output file.........

How did you record the .mpg (which HW card, driver, etc...)

I have a TwinHan DVB-T Card, with the BDA V1.2.1.9 Driver installed. I'm using the
MpgMux from Cyberlink.

O.k. The 'Com-Free' Movie is a bit smaller, but when i go to the position where the
commercials are in the original, its still there. I dont know what comclean has cutted
of ...

i will have a look with virtualdubmod on the original ...

the frames which comskip detected are commercials, but comclean didnt
cutted them off.

Some of the german 'Channel own' commercials (like preview) have a logo
shown in the corner, so that comskip didnt recog. that this is a commercials
too ...

The mpeg demuxer in comclean is possibly not able to correctly parse the mpeg stream coming from DVB-T. This stream is most certainly different from the HW mpeg encoders in analog TV cards.

No need for you to look into comskip. That seems to work well
To check this you can use a mpeg editor to manually look at the frame numbers of the start and end of the commercials. This will confirm the (about) correct functioning of comskip.

If you can send me a very short recording I can try to fix mpgtx (not a lot of change for success because I previously failed to recompile mpgtx)
PM me for the ftp server info if you want to upload.

I found something out, this is what comskip found :

4056 7663
56388 64344
100924 109600
145930 153250
174195 182055

At 7663 the movie exactly begins, the part therefor is commercials and the channel
own news (with logo), then must be the first cut be here :

0 7663

The next part must be here :

56227 64344

The commercials starts with channel logo and had the same size as the movie (black
bar on the top and buttom of the movie).
The next one :

100886 109600

The Commercials start without logo and in fullscreen (somskip had to detect this i think)
The next part :

145927 153247

The movie ends without logo and the commercials starts in fullscreen, at the end of the
commercials there is the logo back and the size is like in the movie, here comskip only
cutted 3 frames real movie out (doesnt matter i think)
The next part :

174190

here ends the movie, its a crappy end, but here should be cutted of

At the beginning and at the end comskip should be start after the first commercials
and at end when the last commercials starts. I have startet the record
5 minutes before the movie begins and the record end 5 minutes after the movie.

I will make U a little mpg, i`ll PM U when ready ...

It looks like the DVB-T stream is indeed incorrectly parsed by mpgtx.

The net effect is that the cutting is done at the wrong place.

I tried to demux and remux the stream but that does not completely solve the problem.

So no solution for the moment.

Maybe you can use videoredo to do the cutting, or, even more difficult, a combination of Womble MPEG-VCR driven by autoit.

Anyone who is using these to cut automatically?

<Cut>58372000000:61300000000
<Cut>69678000000:72822000000

In the TXT File from comskip it were the Frames of the MPeg:

Why the need to interpret it?
It's cuts are the same as comcleans, because the information all comes from comskip, just in a format that videoredo can understand.
If you have comskip output both the .txt and the .vprj, it's all the same.
It only depends on what cutting method you want to use.
Comclean uses the .txt, videoredo uses the .vprj.
You can never have enough tuners!
