Windows service

I used power shell as admin to create a service as follows...

PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> sc.exe create NextPVRService binPath= " C:\Program Files\NPVR\NextPVRService.exe"
[SC] CreateService SUCCESS

Then browsed the Services explorer and found the service that was created but when I started it I got an "Error 87: Parameter is incorrect"

Obviously, I'm doing something wrong. I also tried just double clicking on NextPVRService.exe but that gave me an error saying that I needed to install the service first.

Did you run the installservice.bat file as admin? It does the required steps.

If you literally ran what you posted above instead, there is a couple of spaces there in funny places, and that wont set it to auto start.

I ran the .bat file and the service started. It works locally, but when I try on another PC on the network I get a page not found error. FYI, I use port 8867. When I run NextPVRServer.exe it will work remotely.

Just for fun I tried the Android app outside my LAN with NoIP and surprisingly it connected to my server running the v5 service! I haven't tried Kodi on a remote PC on my LAN but I'm guessing it will work.

So far it's just the web browser that isn't connecting remotely.

Does it make any difference if you explicitly used "index.html" on the url? (ie, http://ip:8866/index.html instead of http://ip:8866/)

For me, I have only needed to add "/index.html" when v5 is running as a service.

I have also found that any valid page link (like guide.html, channels.html, etc.) will work too.

I'm also seeing the issue with having to add "/index.html"

If it matters, the host OS is Windows Server 2019
