Here are some comments/issues testing V5, 191007.  This is a beta, so all this is to help, it's not bitching.  Environment is Windows 10, 1903.  Asus Prime Z390A with Intel I7 Gen 9 CPU.  Gigabyte (Nvidia) GeForce GTX 1050 display adapter.  NPVR 4.2.4.

1. I guess I'm missing something but my blaster does not work.  Not knowing any better, I entered the location of the V4 Haupblast when I setup my channels.  It IS working in V4, so it's not Haupblast.  Is there a blaster for V5 that I don't know about?  I have not seen this complaint on the forum, so I'm pretty sure I screwed something up.

2. Nothing really fits my screen when using the client.  Everything is hacked off at the right side.  Live TV looks OK, but all the menus and other stuff don't fit.  It appears that the resolution is wrong to me, since things are kind of pixelated.  This does not apply to the web browser interface.  I tried fiddling with settings, but didn't seem to do anything.

3. Live TV works in the client, but it does not work for me in the web interface (Firefox).  The guide come up, I can select a show and I get the normal messages, but then nothing.

4. I noted this in a previous post, but when on the Devices screen, there should be a message if you click "Import" without first setting up SD in the Guide settings.

5. Config.xml DOES have the <WaitLongerBeforeRecordingCapture> entry, but it DOES NOT have <WaitLongerDelay> entry.

6. Often times, Ctrl-C will not stop the server app.  Have to kill it with Task Manager.

7. I cannot reliably select items with the mouse, especially in the client menu and the client guide.  What I click is not what I get.  If I use the arrow keys and ENTER, all is well.

Some of the settings in config.xml aren't used anymore. I am investigating this for a future wiki and I don't see the HDPVR section even being used (based on the strings in the file)

If you are referring to <WaitLongerBeforeRecordingCapture> and its mate, those two are definitely used in V4 as I'm using them. They are very useful for recording.

Like I said, I don't see those strings in the v5 dlls.

Some people have found the FireFox was blocking auto playback of video, ie, so that adverts don't auto play on web page, but this was also stopping playback of NextPVR video in the way you describe. You can disable that in the FireFox settings (on a per web-site basis if you need to).

You're probably the first normal user I remember giving feedback for HDPVR, so yes this area of v5 a little cutting edge. Good to get the feedback though, because I often only focus on the areas I'm getting feedback...

I can't picture what you mean. Can you supply a screenshot?

<WaitLongerBeforeRecordingCapture> and <WaitLongerDelay> are both supported. You can just add <WaitLongerDelay> if it's missing.

I've added <WaitLongerDelay> to the config file for the next release, so that any changes you've made aren't lost when you next upgrade. The default value for <WaitLongerDelay> is 6500 (which is the default if the value if not present in config.xml).

I've not seen that myself, or any reports of it. Do you see any messages on the window when you press Ctrl-C? Ultimately you'll be running as a service, so not have to worry about this anyway, but still be nice to know why this is.

I've not seen any reports of problems with this. I wonder if it's related to what your #2 was describing? It sounds like you're saying things aren't where they should be.

Sorry for late response to above.  I stopped getting emails about responses for some reason.
1. I fixed this by typing in the argument "{channel}" for HaupBlast.  The way it is is very confusing as I assumed it would just use the "greyed out" {channel} that was there.
2. Screen shot attached.
6. No, it just seems to ignore the Ctrl-C in the Command box.  I usually have it minimized, but I don't think that should cause it.

I'll try the firefox fix and report back.

Ah ok. This is to do with the DPI settings you're using.

If you bring up Windows Explorer, and navigate to the directory with nextpvr.exe (something like "C:\Program Files\NPVR\client"), right click on nextpvr.exe, select Properties->Compatibility, click 'Change High DPI settings'. On that screen, you'll probably need to try the bottom checkbox.

Checking the bottom box in the 'Change High DPI settings' screen gives you three choices.  Tried them all, no change.

On the Ctrl-C, it seems that if the last thing in the command prompt window is "...snip...", then Ctrl-C doesn't do anything.  I can use the "X" to close it though; don't think I really need task manager.

I don't see anything in Firefox indicating that it blocked the video.  The Autoplay setting for all sites is set to "block audio".  I tried setting an exception for localhost:8867, but, to be honest, I can't see how to do that in firefox.  I got to the screen OK via the "Settings..." button, but how you put in a site is a mystery to me. This IS apparently a Firefox issue, though, because I tried it in Edge and it works.  This is the standard Edge that came with Windows 10 1903.  I don't think it's the Chromium edge.  Unfortunately, I use Firefox as default browser.  I DO have a custom scale factor set due to my old eyes.  BTW, I never changed anything like that for NPVR V4 and never saw an issue.
