I would like recordings to start one minute after the hour (or designated schedule time) and end one minute after the hour (or designated schedule time).  I tried entering a value -1 pre-padding and a value of 1 post-padding.  With this the recording still started at the top of the hour, not one minute later.  Do these entries support a negative value?

Have you considered changing your xmltv file to offset everything by one minute? To me that seems like a better solution.

Are you speaking of the xmltv file that is updated every night or another? If the latter where is it located on the drive? Pre/post padding can be done on a scheduler entry-by-entry basis. Seems an edit of the xmltv file would affect all recordings equally. I presume by your reply the answer may be "not at this time".

My understanding is that IPTV is always delayed so the guide is always offset which is what I thought you were trying to correct.

sub did add negative padding in the client. Not sure if the web browser has it but it would make the browser pick list somewhat confusing especially for new users if it was at the top.

I purposefully didn't include it in the web app since very few people would ever use this, and yeah, it'd probably confusing.

I guess I could at least add the readable "start one minute late" and "end one minute early" to the drop down since that seems pretty much cover what most people need. (and behind the scenes this would be -1)

I don’t use the localhost client, not practicle, only iOS client & browser for scheduling. And iOS app doesn’t have advance button to offer padding entry. Thanks guys for giving this consideration. One min late would be helpful to me. Not a big issue but the majority of recordings I have to tap the “ff 10 sec” 6x to skip past the lead-in commercials. Most look for a solution when watching requires repetitive action. Take care...

If you are watching an American network show and you are getting a minute of commercials at the beginning I figure the problem is the delay from IPTV you are seeing.

I think you're right Martin, could very well be. I thought this is what padding is designed to correct but perhaps not the only or best way. I don't understand how to offset the xmltv file. Is this a viable solution as well? Would it shift all recordings a minute later?

Looking through several recordings I see that the start delay ranges from 30 sec to 60 seconds. Just depends on what channel. But within each channel the delay seems consistent from show to show. Just my observation.

Basically if you download the EPG file in UpdateEPG.bat change all the time offsets in the file so assuming it is normal UTC showing +0000 I would make do a global change and make that +0001
