I greped both those scan file and they don't have any T2 in them.

I suggest trying a file that isn't part of the apt build

sudo curl https://git.linuxtv.org/dtv-scan-tables....b-t/de-All -o /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/de-All

I checked all the lists installed on my system, and none contains any DVB-T2 channels. So I tried the de-All list from the dvb-t directory from that website (thanks for the link), but this doesn't help. It even made things worse: dvbv5-scan crashes!

I also tried the whole thing on Kubuntu 19.10, but the results are just the same. It seems that dvbv5-scan is not (yet) ready for DVB-T2 :-(

Is there a way to transfer the channels found on Windows 10 to the Linux version?

Did you try with dvbv5 scan by itself or sub's scan?

I tried dvbv5-scan by itself. What do you mean with "sub's scan"?

The underlying libraries and dvbv5-scan etc work fine with DVB-T2, but often the scan files included with the Linux distributions are old and don't include DVB-T2 frequencies.

Looking at the source repository for the dtv-scan-tables package, it looks like they do have DVB-T2 frequencies.
https://git.linuxtv.org/dtv-scan-tables.git/tree/

For example, picking a random UK file, you can see a few DVB-T2 frequencies listed:
https://git.linuxtv.org/dtv-scan-tables....stalPalace

Alternatively, it's pretty easy to create your own frequency file.

Unfortunately no - it needs entirely different tuning info on Windows vs Linux.

He's referring to the scan build into NextPVR.

dvbv5-scan and NextPVR are both based on the LinuxTV api (specifically libdvbv5), so you should get pretty similar results in the two.

Because @creibins was crashing with dvbv5scan in Ubuntu 19 I was thinking this could be related to the library file. NextPVR bundles an older library because of similar crashing.

We had this already earlier in this thread, and I already wrote just in the post you quote that I also tested it with the de-All list from that website.

Then I give up for now and stay with Windows until I find another solution. Sorry.
