Nvidia Shield TV - Android client / Kodi client.

Hi guys,

Here is my setup:
The purpose is to have a PC in Greece with a usb tuner attached in order to stream Local free to air digital tv channels,

Server
i3-8gb ram-360gb hdd,Terratec usb tuner with Realtek 2832U chipset, computer located in my parents home in Greece,wire connected to router with line abilities of 20M download speed and 1M upload.Config file has been modified to allow remote streaming and parameters for web streaming bitrate have been decreased due to insufficient upload speeds.

Clients
Nvidia shield TV ,TX3 mini android box, MotoG5s android phone, all with Nextpvr client app in Malta ,plus a dell laptop accessing web client.

With MotoG5s i can say that i have the most success till now and with TX3mini android TV box as well,regarding the Next pvr app.It connects and streams well ,after applying lower bitrate settings of course due to sufficiency from the upload server line.On both of them kodi struggles and i can barely watch 1-2 seconds of Live TV.
On Nvidia shield i cannot login at all to the Server and i always get a message  to ensure that Next Pvr is running etc.,which is not the case coz from the other devices i can login and from Kodi with nextpvr client installed ,as well.On Nvidia shield TV kodi struggles as well ,like in the other devices.
So first of all,how could i solve the non connectivity issue with Nvidia Shield TV?
Secondespite the lower bitrate settings applied ,often i will get a second or two of buffering from Moto G5s and TX3 mini android tv box.Is there a way from the server side,a setting to compensate for slower upload speeds,like a delayed 10 seconds buffered stream lets say or something like that?
Third ,are there known well working settings for kodi?
And as an extra,are you guys aware of an alternative way to upload the video from NextPvr server to a CDN type of servce and then redirect to the client apps?Would it improve the situation for slower upload lines or i am overdoing it?

Regarding the logs i tried to upload the 4 txt files ,but i recveived a message that this file type is not allowed.Should i rar them or something else???

For a transcoding solution I'd start by moving to NextPVR V5.  
It has a benefit of web baed admin

You need to zip log for the forum.

There are mixed reviews for sdr tuners with Win 10

So you propose to give a try on 5 version?
Ok will make a setup over RDP and i will come back with the results.

Did you confirm that you could play that ERT channel in NextPVR before trying the transcoded streaming? I see all the indications of a the REALTEK driver problem

These particular ERT channels do not have that quality signal during the whole of the day.
Some hours during the night though they are working fine.
So that one earlier in the day i wasn't able to load,but the rest like,Alpha,Star etc were working
Update.
I have installed v.5 and playback is way better on TX3 mini android tv box and motoG5s
Still unable to connect from Nvidia shield tv to the server.
Later will have a view of how kodi performs now

Ultimately, when you stream via Kodi (or use directplay in the Android apps), it's sending the full bitrate stream, which is higher than your 1Mbps upload speeds - so there is no way it's going to be playable. (regardless of buffer size etc)

I had the feeling that i could restrict kodi by applying the limited bandwidth setting in the system settings,to something like 1m or 512 kbp[s.

Streaming to Kodi transcoded is available via the knewc addon and it is also work in progress in Kodi v19 Matrix. There is a discussion here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid533070 I am currently waiting for sub to provide further info on the chances in the next version of v5 he proposed.

Sorry, it doesn't work like that.

As Martin mentioned above, you could look into the knewc addon to get transcoded streamed (and hopefully be some other options in Kodi v19).
